SCOPE AND RANGECreate and drive marketing communications plan. Oversee all matters relating to marketing, advertising, collateral production, and other marketing communications for the hotel. Promote the image of the hotel through suitable collateral, online social media channels and appropriate awareness campaigns.

  • Reports directly to Director of Sales

Duties & ResponsibilitiesMarketing Communications

  • Creates an annual Communications Strategy – approved by General Manager and MOHG
  • Creates awareness and premium positioning of the brand of Mandarin Oriental in Prague
  • Implements the hotel’s annual local advertising plan and co-ordinate if appropriate with the advertising agency
  • Translates the requirements of the hotel (F&B, Rooms) into a comprehensive and specific advertising brief for the agency or graphic designer
  • Plans, organizes and oversees all photography sessions for the hotel. These include major collateral photography, food and beverage shots and press release photos
  • Keeps hotel image library updated and organized

Collateral Production

  • Oversees the production of existing collateral and the development of new promotional materials
  • Controls inventory and stock of all collateral
  • Ensures adherence to MOHG CID guidelines for all promotional material and advertising
  • Liaises with F&B, Spa, and marketing departments to co-ordinate all hotel promotions and marketing drives
  • Creates in-house promotional designs for hotel’s outlets (Rooms, Spa, F&B)
  • Ensures all collaterals and advertising are printed and issued in time to secure coverage

Social Media

  • Develops and manages hotel’s presence on Social Media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc as recommended by the Group’s Social Media policy
  • Builds online following (i.e. Facebook fans, Instagram followers, etc)
  • Recommends and facilitate online social media messaging / marketing
  • Coordinates local social media campaigns

Direct Marketing

  • Maintains frequent contacts with hotel’s guests and clients through direct marketing activities
  • Develops an overall direct marketing plan on an annual basis
  • Establishes, maintains and expands the hotel’s database
  • Together with other task force members, oversees and implements the marketing issues of the Guest Recognition Programme

E-Commerce/Web Communications

  • Ensures up-to-date, brand-appropriate web site copy for the hotel. Liaises with appropriate corporate and property colleagues to update the hotel site as required.
  • Understands the basics of web traffic analysis to understand traffic volume and success of news, press general content features of the property site
  • Works closely with Group e-Commerce and Digital team in implementing digital marketing plan for the hotel and its outlets

Budget

  • Prepares annual expenditure proposal for all advertising and promotional activities for Director of Sales
  • Forecasts and allocates the approved budget as per ongoing activities
  • Controls all expenditure to be in line with hotel’s business activities

Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in marketing
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Capability to work independently and create project teams
  • Focus on clients’ needs
  • Advanced experience in MS Office, Graphic design programme is an advantage
  • Creative mind and basics in copywriting
  • Fluent English and Czech language
